ABOUT DEPARTMENT

The Department of Civil Engineering has been established in the year 1984; approved by AICTE, New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra. The department has got good representation in the University’s Academic Bodies including the Chairman, Board of Studies in Civil Engineering, Academic Council, etc. The department undertakes consultancy and R&D activities. The department has successfully completed AICTE aided research project on Geo-foams under TAPTEC.

The department organizes many academic events such as, University Curriculum Development Workshop held on 14th Sep. 2001, AICTE-ISTE fully sponsored two week Short – Term Training Programme on “Maintenance & Rehabilitation of Civil Engineering Structures & system” held during 17th Feb. to 1st March 2003. One day Workshop on “Maintenance & Rehabilitation of Civil Engineering Structures” for Nagpur University teachers held on 16th Aug. 2003. AICTE sponsored One day Workshop on “Environmental & Pollution Awareness” held on 25th Aug. 2004. Annual Students’ Technical Paper Presentation Competition, SPARK-06 held on 10-11 March 2006.
